I’m a young lady with a passion for all things digital, artsy, and inclusive. As an accomplished and driven professional with more than 5 years of experience in communications, content production, and event organization. I possess the knowledge and skills that will allow me to consult with businesses and nonprofit organizations.


 

I am experienced in issues of community development and human rights, more especially women with disability, a series of skills I learned whilst working at Southern African Federation of the Disabled and Global Shapers Community - Gaborone Hub: In these spaces, I have acquired expertise in developing and executing proactive and strategic internal and external communication initiatives, these include but are not limited to digital strategies, content creation for various media platforms, client liaising and drafting messaging materials, executing delivery, preparing for events and campaigns across the Southern Africa region and working with cross-functional groups through global networks, working across time zones to achieve results. 


 

As a Digital Account Manager at an agency, it was my responsibility to ensure reports are up to date, key performance indicators are met for various campaigns or social media metrics, and that PR campaigns convey a cohesive brand across all marketing channels, such as when I reworked the strategy of one of our largest national clients leading to an overall 60% growth in over 6 months. Working in an agency has given me the adequate experience I need in handling deadlines, multiple clients, timelines and, social media platforms simultaneously.

July 2019 - September 2020

Digital Account Manager at 52 Sundays

  • Managed one of the biggest brands in the country (Brand Botswana) and increased engagement and following by 60% in 6 months.

  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and sales teams to develop and implement a digital marketing and advertising strategies that align with the client’s requirements and maximize their return on investment (ROI).

  • Building and managing relationships with existing and potential clients.

  • Set up a list of KPIs to track for each client while preparing and presenting reports on their progress on a monthly basis.

  • Create content by writing copy, taking pictures, and designing graphics, newsletters, and proposals that align with strategies.

Communications Specialist at Global Shapers Gaborone Hub

  • Manage the development, implementation, and coordination of our strategic communications plan in support of long-term brand building.

  • Make sure all communications internally and externally are done in a timely and efficient manner. Head a small team, assign tasks coordinate hub projects from strategic level to implementation stage as communication is vital.

  • Growing and managing a team to build our brand through the press, content marketing, social media, and events.

  • Oversee the delivery of communications campaigns across press, social media, events, awards, and our blog to elevate our brand awareness within key audiences.

Disability Inclusion Project Officer at SAFOD  (Southern Africa Federation of the Disabled)

  • Work with the Managing Director and Program Manager to create and implemented a comprehensive plan for development and marketing.

  • Planning, coordinating and executing all marketing, analysis, web development, database management,  workshops, events, and presentations around issues of human rights and/or youth issues with disability.

  • Design all marketing materials including brochures, flyers, newsletters and social media content (pictures and video) 

  • Run successful special events that help generate awareness for the AT INFO MAP project (and other SAFOD projects)

  • Planned a successful exhibition showcasing the artwork of people with Disabilities.

  • Networking with various stakeholders including civil society, government, and private companies.

  • Coordinate, present and facilitate at UNCRPD Monitoring & Reporting Training Workshops.

  • Coordinate and participate in Disability Mainstreaming & Media Training Workshop.
